PBIS at Great Western School

 

Great Western has been a PBIS school for four years. Last year, Great Western was awarded the Golden Level Award, the highest level of recognition a school can receive.

 

The Great Western PBIS team meets once a month to continue to provide proactive behavior interventions (school-wide, classroom, and individualized) and supports in order to keep our school safe and effective for all Bronco students. Emphasis is placed on prevention of problem behavior, development of pro-social skills, and the use of data-based problem solving for addressing existing behavior concerns.

Great Western PBIS Goals

2017-2018

 

Behavior Goal

By the end of 2017-2018 school year, the total amount of Office Discipline Referrals will decrease by 10% when compared to the 2016-2017 school year.

 

Academic Goal

Kinder – 5th Grade

 

English Language Arts

A 2% overall increase in Met Standards/Exceeded Standards, percentages as measured by the Smarter Balanced Assessment (Current 41%)

 

The average distance from level 3 (Met Standard) will decrease by 10 points to advance performance levels, as measured by the California School Dashboard (Current -25)

 

Mathematics

A 7% overall increase in Met Standards/Exceeded Standards, percentages as measured by the Smarter Balanced Assessment (Current 35%)

The average distance from level 3 (Met Standard) will decrease by 18 points to advance performance levels, as measured by the California School Dashboard (Current -32)
